Course will provide practical training in the correct methods of measuring, cutting, and threading pipe for plumbing petroleum production systems. Participants will learn to use the tools and equipment associated with creating wellheads, headers, and piping systems.

1. Measure, cut and thread pipe
2. Operate manual and hydraulic cutters and threaders.
3. Use heating tools and fusing tools for poly pipe
4. Build wellheads, headers and other fluid transfer systems.

Equipment Transportation and Storage
Course will address the most common procedures for transporting and storing oilfield equipment. Participants will engage in pipe handling, transporting tubing and rods, rigging, winch and crane procedures, and maneuvering and securing heavy loads.

1. Secure loads for transport
2. Describe correct pipe-handling methods
3. Transfer tubing and rods
4. Use chains, boomers, and tie downs
5. Use a winch and bed-crane for lifting and transferring equipment

Course will cover the proper use, maintenance, and repair of the most common valves found at petroleum production locations. Participants will learn to identify and repair; ball valves, check valves, gate valves, back-pressure valves, dump valves, and float operated valves.

Applied Math for Petroleum Personnel
Course will cover the essential arithmetic functions for employees in the petroleum industry. Participants will learn how to determine fluid volumes and capacities of pumps and annulars, calculate common working pressures, analyze oil, water, and gas content and volumes, as well as determine downhole working depths. Course emphasis will be rig and lease math.

3. Calculate weights and depths
4. Measure and convert working pressures between common pressure standards

Electrical for Non Electricians
Course will provide a working knowledge of electricity and electrical systems for production personnel. Participants will learn the essential electrical functions of equipment typically found at a petroleum production location. Course emphasis will be on the safe use and maintenance of equipment operated by electrical power.

1. Identify sources of power
2. Trace electrical lines
3. Shut-off and lock out power sources for repair
4. Follow safety protocols for powered systems
5. Use a multimeter to measure Voltage, Current, and Resistance
