Troubleshooting Lease Operations
Course will cover the most common problems associated with lease operations; including identification and troubleshooting downhole failures, vessel problems, and electrical outages. Participants will learn to recognize symptoms, diagnose the problem, and create an action plan to return the facility to full operational status.
2 days
Objectives (Participants will be able to:)
1. Recognize and identify rod, tubing, and pump failures
2. Recognize and identify problems with fluid and gas separation systems
3. Identify source of electrical outages
4. Develop repair plan and restore facility operations
Recommended for: Production foremen, consultants, lease operators

Course will cover the theory, equipment, and application of common enhanced recovery techniques including water and C02 flooding. Participants will become familiar with the additional equipment associated with a waterflood or C02-flood, as well as the practical application of the technology.
2 days
Objectives (Participants will be able to:)
1. Describe the concepts of primary and secondary recovery concepts
2. Identify equipment associated with secondary recovery
3. Identify injection wells and monitor pressures
4. Troubleshoot problems associated with water/C02-flood fields.
5. Understand secondary recovery economic principles
Recommended for: Production foremen, consultants, lease operators

Managing Production Projects
Course will cover modern project management principles as applied to common petroleum industry procedures. Participants will learn to define, plan, execute, and evaluate medium scale projects related to the maintenance or enhancement of a production lease facility.
2 days
Objectives (Participants will be able to:)
1. Apply modern project management principles to oilfield applications
2. Define, plan, execute, and evaluate projects
3. Use Microsoft Project to define, plan, execute, and evaluate projects
Recommended for: Production foremen, consultants, lease operators

Production Reports and Budgeting
Course will demonstrate the practical application of modern software to the reporting, tracking, and budgeting of lease operations and petroleum production. Participants will learn how to use common spreadsheet applications to improve productivity and efficiency in the field.
2 days
Objectives (Participants will be able to:)
1. Use spreadsheets to create detailed budget of lease operations
2. Track operational and well/lease lifting costs
3. Create production reports and tracking charts
Recommended for: Production foremen, consultants, lease operators

Course will present a general overview of the common downhole production systems including; sucker-rod pumps, gas lift, plunger lift, and submersible pumps. Participants will learn about each method and the equipment typically associated with each system.
2 days
Objectives (Participants will be able to:)
1. Identify artificial lift methods
2. Identify and recognize the hardware components of sucker-rod pumps, gas lift, plunger lift,
and submersible pumps
3. Perform preventive maintenance of system equipment
4. Troubleshoot common problems associated with each method
Recommended for: Production foremen, consultants, lease operators
