Overview of the Petroleum Industry
Includes a big-picture view of the industry including a discussion of upstream, midstream, and downstream processes, as-well-as basic geology and petroleum reservoirs. Course will include a tour of a typical petroleum production facility, with emphasis upon field terminology, equipment usage and standard operating procedures.

Overview of the Petroleum Geology
Includes a detailed discussion of the concepts of petroleum geology, oil and gas reservoirs, and the characteristics of production zones. Classroom emphasis will be placed upon the practical application of basic geology to the production of crude oil and natural gas.
